Why dictation

Real English use — meetings, calls, lectures — rarely comes with subtitles. Dictation trains the actual skill: hearing English and turning it into accurate written words, under the same conditions you'll face in real life.

What HearWriteEnglish is not

HearWriteEnglish is a free practice tool, not a certified language course or an official CEFR assessment. Use it to build a habit and track rough progress, not as a substitute for a qualified teacher or exam preparation course.
